A small one-man laboratory continuing the themes of Fuller Laboratories, which was sold to VMRD after 35 years of diagnostic work with vector-borne agents. The lab operates a small Class 2 facility focused on cell culture and microscopy, and uses IFA, ELISA and western immuno-blot techniques. Its initial vaccine focus uses common but non-pathogenic Rickettsia spp. to attempt immunization against all species, and it collaborates with university research laboratories for agents such as Babesia microti and Theileria orientalis Ikeda.
