ETran is developing a patented elevated transportation architecture combining lightweight passenger vehicles, infrastructure-based electric propulsion, distributed support, and modular construction. Propulsion, braking, guidance, power, and control functions are distributed along the corridor in stanchions rather than onboard the vehicle. The technology has completed concept development, international patent protection, and a Phase One feasibility study by UT Austin's Center for Electromechanics, and is seeking a strategic partner for dynamic validation
