CytoAstra is developing the Cytophone platform, which uses In Vivo Photoacoustic Flow Cytometry (PAFC) for early diagnosis of life-threatening diseases including cancers, infections, and cardiovascular disorders, with a focus on melanoma, malaria, and strokes. The technology is noninvasive, label-free, and operates through intact skin using a laser and ultrasound transducers. CytoAstra is also developing a therapeutic device that can detect and treat cancer and infected cells using photoacoustic and photothermal technologies.
