Hookpod designs and manufactures hook-shielding devices for pelagic longline fishing that prevent seabird bycatch. The Hookpod encapsulates the point and barb of a baited hook and releases it at 20m depth via a mechanical pressure release mechanism. Two models exist: Hookpod Mini and Hookpod LED, the latter containing a built-in green LED fishing light.
