Butterfield Shellfish is a family farm in Maine that grows Atlantic oysters called Butterfields, cultivated in the cold waters of Casco Bay between Little Moshier and Moshier Islands. The company began growing oysters with the goal of building protected oyster reefs in Casco Bay and states a mission to positively impact the health of the Maine coastline.
