W.S. Bessett Inc was incorporated in 1921 by founder Worthington Scranton Bessett, originally in Lynn, Massachusetts, and has been serving the sewing industry ever since. Now based in Sanford, Maine, the company operates in-house CNC mills, a heat treat furnace and sheet metal fabrication equipment. It supplies industrial sewing machines, develops its own line of replacement gauge parts, and designs and manufactures custom wire and cable folders.
