Kestrel Corporation is a high technology company dedicated to product development and commercialization through R&D and design engineering. Founded in 1993, its early years focused on spectral sensors for remote sensing, resulting in a Fourier Transform Hyperspectral Imager launched aboard the Mighty-Sat II satellite in July 2000 for the US Air Force. In 1997 it created a biomedical imaging initiative for earlier disease detection. It has received grants and contracts from NIH, NASA, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Energy.
