JTEC Energy develops the Johnson Thermo-Electrochemical Converter (JTEC), a solid-state electrochemical engine that converts low-grade waste heat (100°C and above) into electricity. The company was formed in 2020 by Dr. Lonnie Johnson and Mike McQuary to commercialize the technology, which scales from kilowatts to megawatts, requires no fuel input, and connects to existing infrastructure.
