J. Frank Schmidt & Son Co. is a wholesale nursery in Boring, Oregon, known as a premier source of deciduous shade, flowering and ornamental trees. Founded in 1946 by Frank and Evelyn Schmidt, it grows more than 500 varieties and cultivars of deciduous trees and has introduced more than 100 new tree cultivars through research and development. It harvests and ships more than 1.5 million trees annually and sells wholesale to the landscape and nursery trades.
