IonicScale LLC is a technology development start-up working on miniaturized, "chip-scale" mass spectrometers. Its prototype work on a handheld chemical analyzer was funded by an NSF Phase I SBIR, and it received additional Phase I SBIR support from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture to deploy its sensor technology for monitoring air, soil, and water quality. It was also a finalist in the Defense Innovation Challenge at Defense TechConnect 2023.
