Interstate Companies, Inc. is a holding company founded in 1957 as Interstate-GM Diesel in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It began as one of the first Detroit Diesel and Allison Transmission distributors, focused on sales and service of engines and transmissions, and has grown through acquisitions into diverse divisions serving industries such as mining, energy production, construction, trucking and manufacturing, with dozens of locations across the midwest, west and southwest.
