Inter-State Hardwoods Co., Inc. is a family owned sawmill located in Bartow, West Virginia, in the Monongahela National Forest. For over 6 decades it has manufactured hardwoods, operating a double band sawmill and dual sided circle scrag mill with annual production over 35 million board feet, plus 20 dry kilns with 1.7 million board-foot capacity. The company owns much of its own timber land within about 100 miles of the mill and employs over 200 people.
