Its flagship SL-RAT is a portable acoustic device that assesses blockage conditions in small-diameter gravity sewer lines in minutes, without cameras, confined space entry, or heavy equipment. InfoSense was founded after research by Dr. Ivan Howitt at UNC Charlotte, with the first SL-RAT prototype delivered to Charlotte Water in 2009 and the production version launched in 2012.
