The company is building the world's first fusion power plant (Orion) and has developed a series of fusion prototypes including Grande, Venti, Trenta, and Polaris. Polaris became the first privately funded fusion energy machine to demonstrate bulk thermonuclear fusion with deuterium-tritium fuel. Helion uses a pulsed, non-ignition fusion system designed to directly recover electricity, fueled by deuterium and helium-3.
