Gulf of Maine, Inc. is a family-owned marine science company based on the shore of Cobscook Bay in Pembroke, Maine. Founded in 2000 by marine biologist Tidepool Tim, it supplies wild-harvested seaweeds, preserved marine specimens, and natural coastal materials to scientists, educators, chefs, artists, and collectors. Sea life is collected to order by hand from the tidal flats, coves, and rocky shores of Downeast Maine.
