Founded in 1981 as a supplier of computer components, the company later pioneered VoIP technology and was the first to introduce a wireless broadband USB modem to the North American market. It has majority ownership of Franklin Technology Inc. in Seoul, South Korea, which provides design and development services for wireless products.
