Fastcap® Ultracapacitors, founded in 2008 as a spinoff from MIT and a subsidiary of Nanoramic, Inc., develops energy storage systems using proprietary carbon nanotube-based electrode technology (Neocarbonix® at the Core) to provide high power and energy density in a compact package. The company specializes in harsh environment energy storage, producing ultracapacitors capable of operating in temperatures up to 150°C and under high shock and vibration, and developed the world's first reflow solderable chip-cap, Charlie.
