Eye Guardian Device Corp. is developing AI-powered smart eyewear for glaucoma and ocular hypertension care. Its wearable smart glasses use a non-contact, eye-safe light source and built-in camera to capture speckle patterns and determine intraocular eye pressure (IOP), connecting to a smartphone app that notifies patients, doctors, and caregivers and tracks medication adherence. The device is planned to launch first in the United States by prescription through eye care professionals, subject to FDA authorization.
