The Energy Conservatory (TEC) manufactures MINNEAPOLIS brand precision diagnostic equipment and develops processes used to solve comfort, energy use, durability and air quality problems in buildings. Founded in 1980 by Gary Anderson and Gary Nelson, TEC pioneered the Minneapolis Blower Door and Duct Blaster testing systems and is a leading manufacturer of performance testing tools for the building science industry. TEC moved to its current Oakdale, MN location in 2024.
