Emisshield Inc. is the manufacturer and distributor of Emisshield® Coating Systems, high emissivity coatings formulated with high emissivity ceramic materials for industrial heat applications up to 3,100°F (1,700°C). The core technology was originally developed by NASA for the X-33 and X-34 space vehicle missions, and Emisshield licensed it from NASA in 2001. Products are manufactured at a Virginia production facility.
