Electrified Thermal Solutions develops the Joule Hive™ Thermal Battery, which converts off-peak electricity into up to 1,800°C heat stored in electrically conductive firebricks (E-bricks) and delivers it to furnaces, boilers, kilns, or turbines. The technology was developed over 12+ years of materials research at MIT. The first commercial-scale unit was commissioned at Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas in February 2026. Headquarters and E-brick production facility are in Charlestown, MA, with a European office in Amsterdam.
