Elastec designs and manufactures equipment for oil spill response, waterway protection, sediment control, industrial cleanup, and waste disposal. Founded in 1990 in Crossville, Illinois, following development of the drum oil skimmer, Elastec is 100% employee owned through an ESOP effective at the end of 2023, and its equipment is distributed in more than 155 countries. Its American Marine division has manufactured oil containment boom since 1967. Elastec is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing company.
