The Equity is a farmer-owned agricultural cooperative serving Central Illinois and Eastern Indiana, founded in 1919 as Effingham Equity Cooperative Union Exchange and incorporated in 1921. It describes itself as the largest independent agricultural cooperative in Illinois, with 18 full-time locations in Illinois and one in Indiana, plus seasonal locations.
