East Kansas Agri-Energy (EKAE), located in Garnett, KS, is a leader in ethanol production. The plant produces over 50 million gallons of renewable, clean-burning ethanol, 280,000 tons of distillers grains, and 12 million pounds of corn oil, using 17 million bushels of locally-sourced corn. EKAE was formed as a legal entity on October 15, 2001, and its plant was completed in 2004.
