It evolved from the Arbeitsgruppe of Prof. Ernst Bauer, the inventor of the low energy electron microscope (LEEM), and describes itself as the world's leading manufacturer of LEEM & PEEM since 1995 and the main supplier of LEEMs and PEEMs around the world.
