Drift+Noise GmbH was founded in 2014 as a spin-off from the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) in Bremerhaven, with its main office in Bremen, Northern Germany. Its interdisciplinary team of polar researchers, sea-ice experts, software engineers and remote-sensing specialists supports companies, vessel operators and research institutions in improving the safety and efficiency of marine operations in ice-covered waters.
