Founded in the mid-1950s as Sanders Inc. in Sioux Falls, SD, it was renamed Dakota Pump Inc. in 1967 and later moved to Mitchell, SD. It is owned and operated by the three sons of Louis Sebert and serves water and wastewater markets with packaged pumping solutions and PLC/SCADA automation.
