COWBOY CLEAN FUELS LLC

From the company

Cowboy Clean Fuels is a Wyoming-based climate-tech company that produces permanent carbon dioxide removal (CDR) and carbon-neutral renewable natural gas (RNG) from operations in the Powder River Basin. Founded in 2020 to commercialize technology developed at the University of Wyoming, it operates a patented biomass carbon removal and storage (BiCRS) pathway, injecting agricultural processing residues into depleted coalbed methane reservoirs where microorganisms generate renewable natural gas while CO2 is permanently absorbed onto coal surfaces.
