Coming Attractions Theatres, Inc. was founded in 1985 in Ashland, Oregon. The company's founder, John C. Schweiger, renovated and operated Ashland's Varsity Theatre and expanded by acquiring or building additional theatres in smaller to medium-sized markets across Washington, Oregon, Northern California, and Alaska. The company has expanded to one hundred forty-nine screens and provides modern theatre complexes with digital projection, digital sound, 3D equipment, and wall-to-wall screens.
