Djerdan Burek is a family owned and operated small business established in 1997 by Bosnian refugee parents. It specializes in making traditional Balkan phyllo dough pies called Burek, along with traditional homemade pastries. It opened its first restaurant in Astoria Queens and in 2014 acquired a facility in North Jersey to produce Burek pies for restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and as a frozen bake-at-home option, now sold throughout all 50 US states.
