JUA Technologies International offers the Dehytray, a portable solar food dehydrator developed at Purdue University that uses free sun energy to dry fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices and meats without electricity. The company states it brings food security to families and smallholder farmers with a sustainable solar-powered drying solution, and launched Dehytech East Africa to help smallholder farms in Kenya.
