refrigerated cold storage

American Apple Packing, LLC (also referred to as American Apple, LLC) grows over 180 acres across 13 varieties of Michigan Apples just 7 miles inland from Lake Michigan, which provides frost protection in spring and cooler fall nights. The company operates a high-quality, state-of-the-art, energy-efficient packing facility with advanced refrigeration for apples and no ammonia in use. Fruit is harvested on trailers so boxes never touch the ground, and apples are moved into coolers within the hour of harvest to preserve freshness.
