The Klump Pump designs and builds self-contained wildland fire suppression equipment consisting of a water tank, pump, and storage area within a highly transportable, self-leveling frame. Designed by Jim Klump, a former smokejumper and Operations Sections Chief, the units are intended for Hot Shot crews and smokejumpers, providing hose-delivered water and additives for initial to extended attack and mop-up where engines cannot go. Units can be delivered by pickup or helicopter and set up within minutes.
