Boss Moss is a company founded by a group of senior students out of Whitworth University that is developing a genetically modified moss filter (patent pending) that removes arsenic and other heavy metals from contaminated water while detoxifying it and leaving essential vitamins and nutrients. The company aims to be a leader in the water purification industry, pioneering bio-based, sustainable technologies, and plans to distribute through non-governmental organizations before moving to the US commercial market.
