BioSafe Technologies, Inc. was incorporated in 2000 to develop, clinically test and distribute nontoxic pesticide formulations for eliminating parasites and blood-sucking insects such as mites, ticks, fleas and lice affecting humans and animals. The active ingredients were discovered by founder Lynn James-Meyer during field testing in Brazil in the early 1990s. Since 2003 the majority of its business has been supplying overseas distributors, exporting bulk-packaged headlice shampoo for private labeling and distribution by pharmaceutical companies.
