Bennison's Bakery is a family-owned full line bakery in Evanston, Illinois, on Chicago's North Shore, operating since 1938. Three generations of the Downer family bake bread, European-style pastries, cookies, and custom decorated cakes using farm fresh ingredients, real butter, cream, buttermilk, and fresh eggs. Owner Jory Downer won the grand prize at the 2005 Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie in Paris.
