American Tool Company is a USA-based machine shop founded in 1918 by David Schafer that produces custom parts, originally machining for local tool and die companies and later for hydraulic presses and World War II torpedoes. It moved to its current Lincoln, Rhode Island location in 1963 and is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Rick and Diane McCally bought the company in 1985 and pivoted to machining complex parts for the capital equipment market.
