The American Barber Institute (ABI) is a barber school established in 1996, licensed by the New York State Department of Education (NYSED/BPSS). It offers a 500-hour Master Barber program at campuses in Manhattan (48 West 39th Street) and the Bronx, with morning, afternoon and weekend schedules, hands-on training in an on-campus barber clinic, NY State Board Exam preparation, and job placement assistance.
