Since 1955 Allegheny Valve and Coupling has been dedicated to the tank transport industry. The company catalyzed the industry-wide conversion from schedule 40 to schedule 10 thin-walled pipe on tank transport vehicles and designed valves and fittings for interchangeable lightweight designs. Its fittings became the industry standard. Still family-owned, it designs, manufactures, and directly sells its products. It has more than 27,000 sq ft of installation with automatic welding robots, bending machines, and presses.
