Aeolis Research was formed by four planetary science researchers, Drs. Christopher Lee, Yuan Lian, Claire Newman and Mark Richardson. Their goals are to understand the atmospheres and climate systems of planetary bodies by combining analysis of observational datasets with state-of-the-art numerical modeling. They developed the planetWRF multi-scale model based on NCAR's WRF model, the first publicly available numerical model of planetary atmospheres applicable to solid surface bodies.
